Asda continue to support Cash for Kids in Scotland!
The staff have held instore fundraising events, community days and lots more! Asda Operations Director Craig Bonnar tells us why the company supports Cash for Kids in Scotland;
“Each year Cash for Kids in the East of Scotland alone receives more than 8,000 applications for help from families and social work departments. The support for Cash for Kids ensures that with the aid of your fundraising and donations, children facing financial, emotional and physical challenges are given encouragement and comfort. This can include helping families to buy Christmas presents and other treats that many of us take for granted. For the past 12 months Asda Stores in the East Central Scotland region have supported and raised an amazing £92,000 for Forth 1 & 2’s Cash for Kids through fundraising events in our stores. Asda have a long standing association and have worked with Cash for Kids in the west of Scotland raising £1.6 million in the last 6 years.
This year we are delighted that all our stores in Scotland will support Cash for Kids to include Clyde’s, Forth’s sister stations Radio Tay, Northsound, Borders & MFR.
As Scotland’s favourite supermarket we like to give something back to the community that we live and work in and that is why we have chosen to support Cash for Kids as all money raised in Scotland stays in Scotland. I would also like to say a big Thank You to our customers who are always very supportive in these challenging times. Without your support we could not help this great Scottish charity.”
