Sally Aitchison MBE awarded fellowship

Sally Aitchison MBE, Managing Director of Cash for Kids was awarded with The Radio Academy’s highest honour on 15th May 2018 for her dedication and contribution to the world of radio and broadcasting and Christian O’Connell, Absolute Radio Breakfast Host, was presented with a Gold Award.

To commemorate the 100-year anniversary of female suffrage in the UK, The Radio Academy has chosen an all-female list to receive its highly prestigious Fellowship award, announced today (May 15th) at Radio Festival.

Sally Aitchison MBE, Siobhan Kenny and Caroline Raphael were the three recipients, awarded with The Radio Academy’s highest honour for their dedication and contribution to the world of radio and broadcasting.

Roger Cutsforth, CEO of The Radio Academy said: “These three fantastic women have each contributed enormously to the radio industry over the years and we are delighted to recognise that contribution in this most significant of years, the 100-anniversary of female suffrage in the UK.”

Christian O’Connell, was also given a Gold Award from The Radio Academy today.
